These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Cleaning House website located at https://cleaning-house.org and the residential cleaning services we provide. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
Cleaning House is a residential cleaning company operating in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Cleaning House provides residential cleaning services including standard cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, and eco-friendly cleaning options. The scope and price of each service are agreed upon before the visit and confirmed in writing or by email.
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services at our discretion, particularly in cases where safety is a concern or where the home's condition falls outside the scope of what was agreed.
A service booking is considered confirmed once we have sent a written confirmation to the email address you provided. Verbal agreements alone do not constitute a confirmed booking. If you do not receive a confirmation within one business day of a booking request, please contact us to confirm.
Prices are provided as estimates based on information supplied by the client. Final pricing may vary if the actual condition or scope of the home differs significantly from what was described. We will notify you of any pricing changes before beginning work. We do not charge fees beyond the agreed amount without prior client approval.
Current base pricing can be found on our website, but all final quotes are given individually.
We ask that cancellations or rescheduling requests be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours' notice) may be subject to a cancellation fee. For details, see our Refund Policy.
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel visits due to illness, extreme weather, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you as soon as possible and offer the earliest available alternative.
You agree to provide our team with safe and reasonable access to your home at the agreed time. This may include providing a key, access code, or being present to let us in. If our team is unable to access the property at the scheduled time, a call-out fee may apply.
We treat all spaces we enter with care and discretion. Our staff are expected to respect the privacy and contents of every home.
Our cleaning services do not include:
If items on this list are present in the home, we reserve the right to skip those areas without a reduction in price unless the scope was specifically discussed and excluded from the quote.
We take reasonable care in all work we carry out. If we cause damage to property through negligence, we will make reasonable efforts to repair or replace the item. Claims must be reported within 24 hours of service completion to be considered. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear, items of unusual fragility not disclosed prior to the visit, or damage caused by conditions outside our control.
Our liability is limited to the cost of the cleaning service for the visit in question.
Cleaning House carries general liability insurance. Details are available upon request. Staff are not individually responsible for claims.
